ISCA Class at the Crowne

July 17, 2016 by Craig Hines. Because of rising costs and conditions at the Clarion Hotel, which ISCA has used for many years as our primary playing site, we switched sites to the Crowne Plaza by the airport this year. I was very pleased with the Crowne and the playing conditions etc., but I would like to hear from others what you thought.

We had a good turnout and paid the advertised prize fund even though we were down 1 player from last year.

Partik Sriwas (OH), 2348 won the M/X section which meant that Jay Carr is the M/X Class Champ for 2016.

Bernard Parham II (Pictured Left) was the Class A Champ and Richard Arnold finished on top to become the Class B Champ. Ted Swogger was the top scoring C player and C Champ. Scot Pletka (lower Left) tied with Jack Heller(IL.) (Right) for Class D honors and is the 2016 Class D Champ.

TO ALL PLAYERS: Make sure your clock is set correctly when the game begins and you know how to stop it to summon a TD. Also please, please learn how to set your own clock! Problems in these areas have arisen in the last several tnmts.

The Class E tnmt on Sat. drew 10 players and Raymond Martin of Indianapolis went 4-0 to take the title and trophy for 2016.

Oct.21-23 are the dates for the 75th Indiana State Championships at the Wyndham West Hotel just across the 465 HiWay from the Crowne Plaza. We have some exciting things planned for this year`s tournament and hope to top last year’s 72 player event! Let`s all come out and support the 75th!!

SEE YOU AT THE WYNDHAM!

Craig,
TD and ISCA PRESIDENT
