Broad Ripple Chess Club informs: 70th Indiana State Chess Championship

After a Draw in the last round game between James Mills (2200) and 2010 State Champion Steven Cooklev (2148)

as well as after the stunning upset of Ari Terjanian (1678) of IU Chessclub Bloomington against the 2009 State Champion Mike Herron  (2101)

and the win of Bradford Drake (2069) in his game with Gerald Roberts (1907)

there was a three way tie at the top (Drake, Mills and Terjanian all 4 points).

With the strongest Tiebreaks the 2011 State Champion of Indiana is Bradford L Drake !

 

The Reserve Section was won by Quinn Phillips and Roger E Blaine - both 4 points

 

The U1300 Section was won by Adam Frank (unr) of Broad Ripple Chess Club
